The vacuum cleaner has a suction opening with an inner chamber at its end sided edge. The protective cover is formed as a hose shaped body (2), where one end section (4) is fixed at a suction hose (5). Other end section is formed around an edge (6) in an inner chamber (7) of the suction nozzle.
