The device has a folding bed for receiving a body part (10) to be processed, and a folding jaw designed, so as to cause pre-folding and/or folding of a folding section (12). The folding jaw is arranged at an arm of a robot movable by the arm and subjected with a folding force. The folding jaw exhibits two shaping sections, where one of the shaping sections is provided for pre-folding and the other shaping section is provided for folding. An axial length of a shaping section amounts to approximately 300 mm, where the shaping sections exhibit a straight axial longitudinal extension. An independent claim is also included for a method for folding a body partial edge.
