The device (1) has a display unit (2) for displaying card representation and/or signal output, and an operating element (3) for operating the device, where data of the card is used for displaying and/or planning routes and/or guiding a target. Auxiliary datasets are provided for representing points of interest (POI) e.g. hotel and petrol station, in the card representation, where the selected auxiliary datasets are associated to selected datasets e.g. image datasets and photo datasets, that represent the auxiliary datasets in the card representation.
