The method involves determining width of a cooking zone as configuring parameter for power reading and determining cooking device types as the configuring parameter for the power reading. The cooking device is firmly installed at the cooking zone. The power reading is determined under consideration of all configuring parameters. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cooking zone with extractor device.
