The support has a support surface (14) connected with two elongate flexibly bendable bars (11) or plates that are provided in a region of an end of the bars or plates. A bearing fastens the bars or plates relative to a carrier (10), so that the bars or plates are displaceable from a retaining position into a use position in which the end of the bars or plates project from the carrier. The bearing comprises a counter bearing (20) in a region of another end of the bars or plates on a side, which faces toward the former end of the bars or plates in the use position. The elongate flexibly bendable bars or plates and/or the support surface are formed with a foam material layer or made of foam material and/or a light emitting or light conducting material.
