The arrangement has a control unit (120) and sensors cooperating with a working member whose output signal comprises an information, which is evaluated by the control unit, over a configuration and/or number of active movable elements of the working member. The control unit determines configuration of the drive train and/or the active movable elements by comparing signals of sensors and/or derived values with a data base in which patterns associated for different configurations of the drive train and/or active movable elements are stored. An independent claim is also included for a method for automatic detection of configuration of a drive train for driving a working member of a working machine and/or number of active mobile elements of the working member of the working machine.
