Wheel suspension for motor vehicle, has spring system provided in power transmission mode in engaged condition of retaining clutch, where length and/or rigidity of spring system are adjustable by contact element
The suspension (4) has a spring system (6) and an operating device provided between a vehicle wheel (3) and a vehicle body (2). The operating device comprises an actuator (9) and a retaining clutch (10), which is adjustable between an engaged and a disengaged condition. The actuator actuates a contact element e.g. spring plate, and the spring system is divided into two spring sections (7, 8) and provided in a force-free mode in the disengaged condition and in a power transmission mode in the engaged condition. Length and/or rigidity of the spring system are adjustable by the contact element.
