The method involves filling a coating head (2) with a corrosion protection agent through a line (3) from a container (4). A coating agent leaving from an annular gap (5) between the coating head and a pipe or profile (6) is collected at input- and output sides of a corrosion-coating device (1). The coating agent is captured in recesses (7) of the device for discharging the coating agent into the container through supply lines (8) and feeding the agent in a circuit. Layer thickness of the coating agent is yielded to desired layer thickness and evenness by suctioning. An independent claim is also included for a corrosion-coating device comprising a coating head.
