Composition (I), preferably printing ink or base for printing ink, comprises at least a volatile component and at least a crosslinkable component, where (I) is applied on a substrate by evaporating a part of the volatile component, a liquid film is formed after the application of (I) on the substrate, and the liquid film remains liquid even after removing all volatile, non-crosslinkable components. An independent claim is included for a process for thermally activating inkjet printing comprising applying (I) as a film on a substrate by evaporating at least a part of volatile component, removing volatile components from the film, and crosslinking the crosslinkable components.
