The elevator control system has a housing for installation in an elevator car of the elevator or in the building and a touch plate mounted movably in the housing. A micro switch (18) is provided for generating a switching signal for a power unit (6) that is operated by a relative movement between the touch plate and the housing. A radio receiver (19) is provided for receiving an authorization signal from a mobile data carrier (20). A releasing unit (25) is provided for modifying the switching signal depending on the received authorization signal. An independent claim is also included for a switching element with a plug connector.
