The device has a roller bearing (2) i.e. slanting shoulder bearing, actuatable by an axially movably mounted connecting rod (1). A rotating outer ring (4) is brought into operative connection with a clutch by a laminated spring that acts in an axial direction. A support structure (10) supports the bearing at the rod. A self adjusting tolerance compensation unit includes two spherical surfaces (9), which are designed at the respective bearing and support structure. One of the surfaces is rotationally symmetric relative to a rotational axis (11).
