The retainer (10) has rings (12) arranged coaxial to each other, and bars (11) for connecting the rings with each other. Slots (14) for load carrying rolling elements are formed in a peripheral direction of adjacent bars and rings, where one of the bars forms a lubricant slot (13). The lubricant slot partially encloses a rolling surface of one of the rolling elements in a rolling direction and is formed by two opposite separating walls and the rolling surfaces of adjacent rolling elements, where the separating walls adapt to the rolling elements.
