The exhaust turbo charger (1) has a bypass valve (3), which is arranged in a bypass channel (2) of a turbine of an exhaust turbo charger for controlling the flow rate through the bypass channel. An actuating unit (7) is electrically or pneumatically actuated and has an actuating rod (9). The actuating rod is coaxially arranged in an extension to a valve spindle (4) of the bypass valve.
