The module has a carrier, a screen, a control unit for an air conditioning system, a switch unit, kneepads, screens, covering elements, chassis switches (6), ashtray, and shelf (7) provided with an overmask (8). Attachments are fastened to the carrier by clip and/or bolt connections in an installation condition, where the clip and/or bolt connections are not visible from outside. The carrier is made of plastic in two-component injection molding method, and acoustically decoupled from a center console of a motor vehicle and/or from one of the attachments. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor vehicle comprising vehicle-lateral basic carrier bolted with a center console module (2) a method for assembling a center console of a motor vehicle.
