The machine (100) has a gripper carriage (1) with two carriage assemblies supported perpendicular to a transport direction (T) by two rollers. The rollers are guided on an internal and external guide webs, respectively. One of the rollers is coupled with a gripper bridge by connecting rods that transfer vertical movement of the roller to the bridge to release lowering movement of gripper arms. The webs are differentiated in curvature characteristics in an area of a punching station (102), a pulling station (103) and a cantilever arm (104). The bridge is rotatably mounted against the carriage.
