The method involves detecting a current measuring position for a current habitation of a navigation device by a position determining device. A quality value is assigned to the current measuring position, where the quality value is a value for measuring accuracy of the current measuring position. A display position is calculated from the measuring position and the prognosis coordinates based on the quality value.
