The method involves flat stacking of bipolar plates (2) one above the other. A mechanical separating tool i.e. cam, of a cam mechanism is operated such that a notching tool arranged at the cam is controlled for arranging plugging pins in one of the bipolar plates. A contact sample is realizable such that a standard plug is set on the plugging pins by the bipolar plates stacked one above the other. The plugging pins are attached in predetermined distance to each other into the respective bipolar plates.
