The method involves attaching optically recognizable marks on an upper jaw (2) and a lower jaw. The marks on the upper and lower jaws are acquired, where detected marks are stored in digital 3D upper and lower jaw data models, respectively. A digital 3D data model is created by arrangement of the upper and lower jaw data models relative to each other in a bite layer or by association of the detected marks stored in the upper and lower jaw data models. The upper jaw data model is processed by CAD programs e.g. dental designer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacture of denture and/or of an auxiliary body to manufacture the denture.
