The method involves partially disconnecting slugs i.e. metal strips, of a chromatometer (1) by a sound pulse separation process for formation of chromatometer slats (4). The separation process is performed such that the chromatometer slats lie together in a gap-free manner and are provided with identical length, where the chromatometer comprises length extending in a longitudinal direction and depth in a vertical direction that is smaller than the length. A bar is arranged at the slats, where a gap is enlarged by length of the bar.
