The method involves storing sequence of control signals in an instruction memory of a model rail decoder (30), during current operation of a model rail decoder. A releasing event is assigned to the sequence of control instructions or scripts. The assigned sequence of control instruction is picked out from the instruction memory, analyzed and executed using a command interpreter of the model rail decoder, during existence of the releasing event. A sensor signal is assigned to the sequence of the control instructions, where receiving of the sensor signal is interrupted as the releasing event. An independent claim is also included for a digital model railway facility with a model rail decoder.
