The arrangement has a test carriage (1) arranged in an automobile group (B) i.e. motor car, to be tested. A delay unit (3) over which the test carriage affects with intended collision with a stop unit (2), and is deformed to brake the test carriage. A test mass (4) is moved relative to the test carriage and the stop unit, and another delay unit (5) over which the test mass acts on the test carriage if the test carriage intended-collides with the stop unit. The test carriage is moved at a carriage trajectory (100). An independent claim is also included for a method for testing an automobile group.
