The method involves running a range estimation of a driving route by a vehicle and taking place a display of the walkable driving route in form of a reachability of the destination of a driver of the vehicle. The range estimation is executed by a navigation system with a street database and by a vehicle control unit exchanging the information in such a way that a successive reachability of a reference location is determined after reaching the destination. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating distance management of vehicle with electromotive drive.
