The tube (100) has a wall structured in two leg regions (110a, 110b), and a bottom (120) for connecting the leg regions with each other, where the wall is not structured in the region of the bottom. The bottom is connected with outer surfaces of the leg regions without seams. The wall has projections that are elongated into the leg regions and extend towards an interior of the tube, where the tube has a rectangular cross section and is formed as a U-shape tube. A single-piece manufactured extruded section is provided in the tube. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger tube.
