Cosmetic preparation comprises silsesquioxane wax (I) and at least one thermoplastic with at least one unit derived from cyclopentadiene, where the thermoplastic is polydicyclopentadiene. Cosmetic preparation comprises silsesquioxane wax of formula ((R 2R1SiO 1/2) x(R2SiO 3/2) y) (I), and at least one thermoplastic with at least one unit derived from cyclopentadiene, where the thermoplastic is polydicyclopentadiene. R : 1-8C alkyl; R1 : monovalent 9-46C alkyl; R2 : monovalent 1-8C alkyl or aryl; and x, y : 0.05-0.95.
