The wheel (1) has energy converters (6, 7) arranged completely in an inner side of the wheel for absorbing wheel noise. The energy converters are designed as piezoceramic actuators and arranged between a wheel body (3) and a wheel tire (2). An electrical energy source i.e. hub generator, is provided for supplying electrical energy to the energy converters. An electrical circuit is connected with the energy source and an electrical coil. A casing is arranged on an axle (5) and connected with the axle in a torque-proof manner. Permanent magnets are embedded in the casing. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an electrical loading signal of energy converters of a rail vehicle-wheel.
