Aqueous plant treatment agent comprises water, calcium, formate and nanoscale silver. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a formulation comprising (in wt.%) calcium calculated in calcium oxide (5-40), an inorganic formate calculated in formic acid (5-70) and the nanoscale silver (0.001-0.2); and (2) a concentrate obtained by mixing (in parts by wt.) the formulation (1) with water (0.2-20). ACTIVITY : Antibacterial. The antibacterial activity of the agent was tested against Erwinia amylovora385 in flowers of apple trees by spraying a suspension with a bacterial count of 8x 10 6cell/ml on the flowers. The result after the incubation of 6 days showed that the agent exhibited a reduction of infestation of a maximum of 95.2%, which was close to a reduction of infestation of a maximum of 100% exhibited by a solution of an antibiotic streptomycin (0.06 wt.%) in tap water. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
