The holder (3) has two headrest bars (3a) inserted into a retainer (5) of a seat back (1) of a vehicle seat. The headrest bars comprise a metallic tube (6) i.e. lengthwise-welded metal strip, and a reinforcement pipe i.e. seamless drawn pipe. The reinforcement pipe is arranged within or outside the basic metallic tube, where length of the reinforcement pipe is smaller than the length of the basic metallic tube. Media and/or pressure are provided in an inner space of an inner pipe (6) and an intermediate space. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a headrest holder.
