The fuse (1) has a fusion conductor (3) arranged in a housing (2) that is formed from anodized aluminum. The housing is filled with a granular filling material around the fusion conductor, and is formed in a cylindrical shape. An inner area of the housing is locked at opposite front sides (21, 22) of the housing by one-piece or two-piece closure elements (51, 52). The closure elements form a cord grip for the fusion conductor by a knob intervening in the fusion conductor. The closure elements rest on a projection protruding from the inner area of the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing of a fuse.
