The board (2) has cover layers (4, 6) made of a sheet metal, and a core (10) that consists of a pressure-stiff material connected with the cover layers. Narrow sides (14) are closed with sheet metal stripes by small-cuts of the board. The core sticks together with the cover layers and consists of a gypsum cardboard or a gypsum fiber board. The core consists of a parquet arrangement of regular hexagons or square or equilateral triangles. The cover layers consist of steel or flat materials, where the flat materials consist of metal with high elastic modulus. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a large-size composite board.
