The method involves absorbing, filtering and separating radioactive materials, particularly nuclides and particulate matter, in the air corresponding to requirements of the radiation protection before the air passes the absorbing ventilator (5) in an air purification system. The filter elements and other supporting parts correspondingly strengthen the requirements of subsurface worker protection and health protection in addition to radiation protection requirements. A microfine dust filter (7) is downstream to filter in a suspended matter filter (3) with radiation protection dust hopper (4). An independent claim is also included for an air purification system with an active coke filter.
