The heat exchanger has a heat exchanger pipe (208), whose inner space is flow-throughable by an inner fluid medium. A wall (242) of the heat exchanger pipe has a turbulence-generating structure at its inner side (238) or at its outer side (240). The turbulence-generating structure has a structural element (251) which is extended around the longitudinal axis (246) of the heat exchanger pipe over a circumferential angle of 180 degree. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a thermal exhaust air cleaning system with a combustion chamber; and (2) a method for cleaning an exhaust air flow by a thermal exhaust air cleaning system.
