The cell (1) has a cell inner space enclosed with a housing (2), and an electrochemical active electrode film unit (3) arranged in the cell inner space. The housing comprises recesses for transmitting moderate temperature medium i.e. air. The housing is formed on a frame (2.1) and two housing side walls. The recesses are formed in the frame. The frame comprises a circulating edge bar, and an upper recess (4) and a lower recess (5) are fixed at opposed sides of the cell. The frame and the housing side walls are formed with holes (7) for inserting a tensioning unit i.e. tie rod. An independent claim is also included for a battery comprising spacing elements arranged between single cells.
