Preparing cyclic ketone compound, comprises reacting a cyclic olefin with an oxidizing reagent in a mixed solvent comprising water and an organic solvent, in presence of: (a) a polystyrene with a group containing five- or six-membered heterocyclic ring or (a1) a polystyrene with chloromethyl- or hydroxymethyl group or (a2) a compound with five- or six-membered heterocyclic ring, (b) a palladium compound and (c) a heteropoly acid.
