The device has a sensor (8) quantitatively and/or qualitatively determining breath condensate that contains an analyte. The sensor comprises electrodes and a support structure for supporting and collecting the breath condensate. The sensor is interchangeably connected with a flow channel (7). The sensor is temporarily fluid permeable, so that exhaled breath condensate is flowed through the sensor. The sensor fills a cross-section of the flow channel with a respective peripheral side housing. The breath condensate is stored in a water-storing layer. The three-dimensional permeable support structure is made of a material selected from composite material, sintered material, filter material, plastic foams, metallic, ceramic or organic foams, fibrous tissue and sphere packing, where balls of the packing are made of glass, plastics, ceramics, glass and solid gels.
