The container for transporting and/or storing of living biological material, comprises a chamber (12) for receiving the biological material, a closure element (14), which has a bayonet socket and a standing feet for gastight closing of the chamber, a latent heat storage (16), which is connected with the chamber to hold the biological material on a defined temperature constant of 37[deg] C, an insulating jacket, steam-sterilizable materials, and a receiving device. The biological material is received into the chamber. The container for transporting and/or storing of living biological material, comprises a chamber (12) for receiving the biological material, a closure element (14), which has a bayonet socket and a standing feet for gas-tight closing of the chamber, a latent heat storage (16), which is connected with the chamber to hold the biological material on a defined temperature constant of 37[deg] C, an insulating jacket, steam-sterilizable materials, and a receiving device. The biological material is received into the chamber, where the latent heat storage of the defined temperature of the biological material is constantly held in a gas concentration into the chamber of 5% for 48 hours against an ambient temperature of 21[deg] C and an ambient pressure of 1 bar with a deviation of +- 0.5[deg] C and +- 0.1%. The receiving device is introduced into the chamber, and has a suspension (36) that holds the biological material in horizontal position and/or modifies vibrations of the container against the biological material. The standing feet is parallely arranged at a closed condition of the chamber to a wall (13) of the chamber. An independent claim is included for a method for transporting and/or storing of living biological material.
