The cabinet has an electronic controlled intercalation device for identifying medicaments (M) supplied by the cabinet and for automatic storing the identified medicaments into the cabinet. An electronically controlled output device automatically supplies the medicaments based on electronically supplied output information concerning quantity and identification of the medicaments and based on electronically stored storage information in a memory unit. An output device is interacted with the memory unit such that the storage information is updated during output of the medicaments.
