The device has a rotor provided inside an electromotor. A differential i.e. spur gear differential, is partly arranged within the rotor and propelled by the rotor. The differential comprises cylindrical planetary gears (10, 11) with a gearing located on a cylinder jacket surface. Driven shafts (18, 19) arranged inside the differential comprises cylindrical output gear wheels (15, 16) i.e. sun wheels, that are arranged in the differential. A gear box is arranged outside the differential. One or more parts of a differential cage of the differential are formed integral with a rotor cladding (5).
