The system has a reloading device (30) with a rotatable drum (31) comprising a set of storage chambers for storing wood chips (1). A guide plate (2), a tension element (3) and a sliding element (4) of a lock device (20) guide the wood chips from the storage chambers to a lock chamber (21) and from the lock chamber to a firing chamber (11) of an oven (10), respectively. The lock device comprises a temperature sensor (22) for the lock chamber. A sensor is provided for analysis of flue gases of the oven. A carriage (24) for movement of the lock chamber is attached on a base part (23). An independent claim is also included for a method for reloading wood chips for an oven.
