The method for joining of components on workpiece (36) for stud welding, comprises supplying the component to a component target (12) such as joint head, determining the component arrived at the component target by an evaluation of a first characteristic noise (G1), second characteristic noise (G2) and third characteristic noise that arises during an arrival and impact of the component into the component target at a wall of a bend of a channel and a movement of a loading pin, and feeding the component to a component receiver (24) of the component target, where the component receiver has the channel having the bend.
