Method for reconstructing image data of human heart from measurement data of computed tomography system, involves reconstructing image data by utilizing iterative algorithm, where pixel values of image data is not smaller than zero
The method involves detecting measurement data with a relative rotational motion between a radiation source i.e. X-ray tube (C2), of a computed tomography (CT) system (C1) and a moving object under examination i.e. human heart. The detected measurement data is analyzed with respect to motionless components of the moving object and moving parts of the moving object to provide image data determined from incomplete measurement data set. The image data is reconstructed by utilizing an iterative algorithm, where pixel values of the image data is not smaller than zero. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a control and computing unit for reconstruction of image data (2) a computer program product comprising a machine-readable data carrier with a program code having instructions for reconstructing image data of a moving object under examination from measurement data.
