The instrument (1) has two regions (3, 4) comprising spreading pins (2a-2c), where the pins project along direction in such a way that neighboring tooth structures are pushed apart toward the pins with an operation of the instrument. A level adjuster adjusts amount of projection of the pins to provide a correct approximate contact relationship with cavities having narrow and difficult accessibility. Length of the pins is same, where the pins are aligned in parallel to each other in a closed state of the instrument.
