The pipe (1) has a casing surface that is stepped in an end-sided connection area, where the pipe is designed in a hollow-cylindrical manner. A hollow-cylindrical connector (2) is provided in the connection area having a stepped inner surface and connected with the pipe in a form-fit manner by using a friction welding. The connector has radial holes (3) in the connection area, and inner surfaces of the connector are arranged at a distance to the casing surface, where diameter of the holes is selected based on volume of material of the pipe.
