The brake booster has an adjustment apparatus and a primary control valve. The primary cylinder is loaded with the supporting force. The supporting force is adjusted by the adjustment apparatus and primary control valve with respect to corresponding modes. An independent claim is included for method for operating controllable pneumatic brake booster.
