Steering system blocking method for electronic control unit of motor car, involves short-circuiting two phases of synchronous motor, where short circuit is caused by mechanical and electronic shift members connected in series
The method involves short-circuiting two phases (42, 44) of a synchronous motor (14) i.e. permanent-excited synchronous motor, in a steering system for power assistance. The short circuit is caused by a mechanical shift member (48) and an electronic shift member (50) connected in series, where the mechanical shift member is electroless opened or closed and the electronic shift member is electroless closed. The synchronous motor is inserted to a support of a rider in an electrical steering apparatus and/or a power steering apparatus. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for blocking a steering system, comprising a mechanical shift member.
