The machine (1) has an armature shaft (3) arranged in a housing (2) that comprises a housing portion. A brush holder (8) is arranged in the housing, and the shaft is directly supported at two bearing points (15, 16) in the housing portion and the holder, respectively. The housing is provided with a gear housing part (11) and a pole housing portion (5), and the housing portion is formed as a bearing cap (6) for the pole housing portion. The bearing cap comprises an axial blind bore (18), where the shaft is inserted into the axial blind bore of the bearing cap, and comprises a gear element (12).
