The device e.g. storage drum (19), has a guide surface for guiding sheets during transportation of the sheets. Electrically conductive lifts (30, 31) are electrically insulated against the guide surface. Electrostatic adhesion or repulsion of the electrically charged sheets is influenced at the guide surface in an electric loading condition by the electrically conductive lifts. A sheet guide (21) is positioned below a feed drum (18). An ionization device (29) is attached to the device to load the lifts with electrical loads in a contactless manner, respectively.
