A method for determining the tube holder plates blockage of a steam generator includes the steps of: measuring of at least five different eddy current values per tube holder junction; calculating a nominal radius of a flow hole with a good fit; determining a means signal response; converting said means signal response in a deposit thickness; determining a edges reduction; converting the edges reduction in an edge thickness; calculating of the resulting flow hole radius; verifying the adequacy of the resulting flow hole radius and determining a virtual calibration region.
