The weld nut has height and an outer diameter. The weld nut has a central transverse axis and the welding rings are mirror-symmetrically arranged with its welding support surface to the central transverse axis. Positioning pins or centering rings adjoining on both lateral sides of the thread openings of the weld nut are arranged.
