The assembly (10) has a pre-synchronizing unit (22) engaged to a shift collar (16) and axially subjecting a cone ring (18) during axial displacement of the shift collar. The pre-synchronizing unit comprises a ratchet (32), which prevents axial displacement of the shift collar until synchronization. The pre-synchronizing unit includes a coupling piece (24), which is accommodated in a recess of a circular synchronous body (14). The coupling piece includes a radial inner section with a lateral projection for engaging the coupling piece behind the cone ring.
