The apparatus comprises a suction wall (10) equipped with a filter layer (12) which is expanded in flat manner. A suction head (20) is arranged at the front side of the suction wall. The suction head extends in a direction through the surface of the suction wall, and is moved in a direction through the suction wall to form a slit-shaped suction nozzle (24).
